Time to make a plan – if you don’t have one already.
BDC Homes will recommend an architect and if you’d prefer, we can sit in on the plan development meeting. If not, we will discuss relevant changes afterwards in order to achieve the look & functionality you’re after. We recommend a Geotechnical Report at this stage for the land you have or are going to purchase. This is a consent requirement and affects the site dig out process.
This is an extensive quote that includes everything from products from numerous suppliers, labour costs, building consents and more. This quote is complimentary.
We aim to keep “provisional costs” to an absolute minimum. Provisional costs, simply put, are costs from the decisions you make regarding the final finishes to your home, e.g kitchen joinery and floor coverings.
If your building work does not meet the requirements of the Building Act, your council can issue you with a ‘notice to fix’ for any breaches of the Building Act or Regulations. If this happens, we work in collaboration with the architect to ensure all the additional information is gathered and submitted.
Now you’re ready for the site dig out!
We will communicate with you at every stage of the building process. If costs are going to increase or plans are need to change, you will always be kept up to date. Every change will be listed as an official variation that you get to sign off.
Important note: All changes to the plan need to be signed off by your bank, or organisation financing the build.
Satisfied all defects have been addressed, you get the keys to your first-rate BDC home!
